Become a "Friend of the Trail" by assisting with trail improvements:
- Help with trail maintenance and improvements - If you or your group would like to
be added to our "Friend of the Trail" list we are always looking for volunteers. We
will email you about specific projects scheduled to help maintain the trail including
trail cleaning, clearing, and debris removal. Please contact Brian Allred by email
at email@example.com or call him at (251) 461-1627.
- Help the trail by providing materials or services - The trail can always use improvements
like grass sod, or native plants, gravel, etc. If you can provide goods or services
that will help us to improve and maintain the trail, please contact Brian Allred to
discuss possibilities. You may contact him at (251) 461-1627, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate your interest in helping to support the Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail!
There are a number of options available to help the trail continue to serve the greater
Mobile area and the University of South Alabama. Financially support the trail by
donating to these accounts:
- Donate to the Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail Endowed Preservation Fund. For the endowed
account, we can use the interest only each year. As the capital in the fund increases,
so does the amount available for spending. This is a long term investment in the trail.
Your donation to this account can be done in the USA annual fund drive or as a separate
contribution. Because this is a USA endowment account, your contribution may be matched
by the University if it is made as part of the annual fund drive and you are a USA
employee or alumni. To donate to the Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail Endowed Preservation
Fund, please contact the Office of Development by email at email@example.com or call them at (251) 460-7032.
- Make a direct gift to the Nature Trail Improvement Account in the Department of Earth
Sciences. Earth Sciences has a special account that is used to pay immediate bills.
To donate to this account, send your check directly to the Department of Earth Sciences,
5871 USA Drive North, Room 136, Mobile, AL 36688-0002, Attention: Mimi Fearn. Make
your check payable to the Department of Earth Sciences and write on the check "Nature
Trail Improvements." For more information contact department chair, Mimi Fearn, by
email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Earth Science office at (251) 460-6381.
