MCOB Real Estate Students Beating Top Business Schools in Real Estate Competition – Go JAGS!

A team of Mitchell College of Business commercial real estate finance and investment students, consisting of Jake Arcuri, Sean DeMattei, Levi Ehmka, and Andrew Tranchina, entered the 2017 Real Confidence Challenge.  Teams compete against other colleges and universities for up to $50,000 in scholarships by working to allocate $1 billion in myriad real estate investments, choosing from equity or mortgage REITs, different property types, and public or private securitized debt instruments collateralized by real estate mortgages. Q1-2017 results show that among the 36 teams competing, USA is tied for 10th place, surpassing, among others, Ohio State, Penn State, Florida State, BYU, UConn, Villanova, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and Harvard. Congratulate these students and be on the lookout for reports of future quarters’ results.
