Beta Alpha Psi

David Dye (Chairman of CPSI) made a presentation to a joint meeting of BAP & FMA on February 2nd .  Mr. Dye discussed the process of taking a company public. 

Dr. Maes made a presentation to BAP on Conflict Management on February14th.

Society for Human Resource Management

SHRM met twice during February.  At the first meeting, Tina Williams, CEO of Mobile Educators Credit Union spoke to students and HR issues in the workplace.  Members of the Financial Management Association joined the meeting to hear Ms. Williams speak. 

At the second meeting, Ms. Lauren Cranford, MCOB Alumnus and HR and Payroll Manager at Mobile Fixture and Equipment Company spoke about the transition from school to work.

Professional Sales and Marketing Club

The Professional Sales and Marketing Club met February 9th and the 23rd. On the 9th we were please to host Mr. Andrew Vickers, a recent USA alumnus and the current CFO of Gulf Coast Ducks, owner of Positive Press Mobile, and a serial entrepreneur in the area. Mr. Vickers shared his story on his journey through college, how he found success in unconventional ways after graduation, and his current career path that includes many different titles responsibilities in the gulf coast area (many of which he created himself).
