Introduction to Analysis
A careful look at the elements, procedures, and applications of differential and integral calculus. This course is designed for students in the College of Education.
PREREQUISITE: MA 227 or permission of the instructor.
SUGGESTED TEXT: Real Analysis: A First Course, by R. A. Gordon.
Students will gain a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts of analysis and a firm foundation for more advanced work in this field. They should become skilled at understanding definitions and statements of theorems, formulating conjectures and analyzing them critically. Students will also gain experience in solving problems and communicating mathematical ideas effectively.
